Fall Fabric Finds

Today was a fun day with the Jo Morton group. Our leader starts with a little civil war history. She always brings something interesting and thoughtful.

I made some purchases for this month's pattern. I threw in some of my scraps to see how everyone will play together. We'll see who makes the team.

Tonight is quilt guild with Mary Lou Weldman. I'm really looking forward to her lecture.

Have a great evening.

53....It's My Year!

This is my year! Today is my birthday and a day of renewal for me. I've retired and am learning how to slow down. Well, slow my mind...or quiet my mind.

I'd like my blog to be an account of my days. It was for a while but I let busyness get in the way. I admire people who post whatever is going on that day. That's my goal.

Yesterday we went to Round Top. It's a small town about 1.5 hours away. They have a lovely artisan gallery, The Copper Shade Tree. I got the gourd, below, for my birthday.

My hubby got me this cute clock for my sewing room. Sorry for the sideways picture. I fiddled for a while but then gave up on getting it to rotate.

And here is my current project. Or one of the many. It's a Kim Diehl pattern. I'm in a Jo Morton Little Women's Club. I think that is what it is called. Anyway, the month's pattern was this Kim Diehl pattern. A little confusing to me, but I love both Kim Diehl and Jo Morton patterns so it's all good. I chose fabrics that I thought were fall-like. I've been hankering to use some lavender.

It's going to be a great day. I get to have lunch with my best friend and dinner with my hubby. I think I'll shop a little in between.

Have a great Monday!
